As defined on Wikipedia, "Podcasting is the distribution of audio or video files, such as radio programs or music videos, over the internet using either RSS or Atom syndication for listening on mobile devices and personal computers." Podcasting is one of the most exciting developments to hit the internet. It will revolutionize content consumption and the way individuals and mega-corporations express themselves and communicate with the masses.



Podcasting used to be for computer geeks only but it is so simple and the barriers to podcasting so low that it will be mainstream if it isn't already. Podcasters need a computer, a recording device, microphone, audio mixing software, audio editing software and internet access. With this basic components anyone can podcast.
